The Most Holy Trinity
SUNDAY, MAY 30

Today is the first of the three doctrinal feasts celebrated after Pentecost, which commemorate not a person but a theological tenet, doctrine or devotion. Today's solemnity celebrates the doctrine of the Triune God, one God in three divine persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The mystery of the Most Holy Trinity is the central mystery of Christian faith and life. By the grace of Baptism, we are called to share in the life of the Blessed Trinity.

At liturgy, we frequently express our belief in the Holy Trinity: we begin Mass with the Sign of the Cross, the Gloria, the Profession of Faith, the Eucharistic Prayer which culminates with the Great Doxology and the final solemn blessing.

We Worship As a Community of Faith

"Christ is ever present in His Church, especially in liturgical celebrations. Hence the liturgy is the privileged place for the encounter of Christians with God and the One whom He has sent, Jesus Christ." Apostolic Letter Vicesimus Quintus Annus _______________ "Christians who gather each Sunday to experience and proclaim the presence of the Risen Lord are called to evangelize and bear witness in their daily lives." Apostolic Letter Dies Domini
